THE HILLSIDE PTO

The objective of the Hillside PTO is to support and enhance the educational, cultural and social environment at Hillside Elementary School. This is accomplished through new family orientations; The Scoop, a biweekly newsletter; a broad spectrum of cultural programs; informative events; and financial and/or extensive volunteer support of the Dental Clinic, the school media center, and other programs in the school.  The PTO also runs numerous after-school clubs and activities for our children.  Some of these include: Boys/girls Scouts, Science, Chess, Odyssey of the Mind, Junior Great Books, and more!

Revenue to support the above and other programs is generated through PTO fund raising activities.

The PTO relies on parents for their skills, time and dedication to run the PTO activities.  Please volunteer where you can.  Contact the PTO Board Members below or refer to the PTO section of the Hillside Directory.

The primary purpose of the Interschool Council is to serve as an interchange for ideas and information among parent-teacher organizations in the district. In addition to PTO functions, areas of mutual interest include the educational process, legislation, student behavior and activities. The goal of such sharing is to continue to improve education for our children and provide a forum for discussion and possible resolution of areas of concern.

The secondary purpose is to increase the awareness among the respective parent-teacher organizations as well as the community regarding matters affecting the quality of education in the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District.
