If it is necessary to close school due to inclement weather, local radio stations and TV stations will announce this by reading school district name or numbers. Tredyffrin/Easttown's school number is:

The hotline is the first and quickest source for information regarding all closings, delayed openings, and early dismissals.

Delayed Opening
In the event of a two-hour delayed opening, school will begin at 10:50 am.

Morning kindergarten will not attend on days with delayed openings.

Afternoon kindergarten will be held at the regular time.

Please continue to listen to the radio/television when a delayed opening is announced.  Delayed openings are sometimes the first step before school is closed for the day.

During the School Day
If it is necessary to close school due to inclement weather or an unplanned emergency (loss of heat, water, etc.), local radio stations will announce this by reading school district numbers.  Tredyffrin/Easttown's school number is "Chester County.......#854".  

Hillside parents will be notified via the emergency phone chain of an early dismissal.  Please be sure to keep the main office updated of any changes to your contact information throughout the school year.  No child will be released from school until a parent or guardian and/or an emergency contact person has been reached.
