Network Acceptable Use Agreement for Students

As a middle school student, you have been given the privilege to access resources on our school network. There is a folder with your name that has been established on the network where you may save your classwork. As a user of this network, you are required to act in a responsible manner.

Please read these guidelines and sign below. You will be held responsible for following all of these guidelines. Failure to comply with these guidelines will result in disciplinary action depending upon the severity of the offense.

I understand and accept responsibility:

for my computer account and all activity within that account.
to refrain from sharing my password or using another’s password.
to log off after every session.
to keep all inappropriate material from entering the school network.
to avoid use of network resources, including printers, to harass, offend, or annoy others.
to adhere to current copyright and privacy laws.
to use the network to meet educational needs.
to not impersonate or misrepresent other users on the network.
to not delete, alter or erase files, records or programs.

I will not use the Internet or World Wide Web:

for topics not approved by teacher.
to download, copy, or store any software product.
to enter chat rooms or to access inappropriate material
to enter personal info about myself or others, including name, address, phone number, email address, or screen name.
