    TWO: Congratulations to the grade-level winners of this year’s spelling bee. They are - 5th Grade – Gunnar R. and Hannah J., 6th Grade – Bethany Y. and Charlotte H., 7th Grade – Wafiza J. and Evan L., 8th Grade – Sophia P. and Charity X. Due to the delay, the school-wide spelling bee is being postponed to tomorrow. Winners, please see Mrs. Baker in room 235 for your updated pass, if you haven’t already done so.

     

    ONE: Students who are interested in learning about world cultures are invited to come to the Large Group room TOMORROW during periods 5 and 6.  Several student clubs are working together to make displays for World Traditions & Celebrations Day next month

    ONE: Good morning T/E! Today is TUESDAY, JANUARY 16TH, 2018 and it is NATIONAL FIG NEWTON DAY. It is also day TWO of the schedule. Today’s lunch includes CHICKEN NUGGETS.

     

    TWO: Congratulations to 7th grader Ethan H  and 8th grader William H for their outstanding scores on the January Math League Contest. 

     

    ONE: In sports news, the basketball teams will be in action today and tomorrow. The boys play on the road today at Strath Haven, while the girls will host them. Tomorrow the girls play at home against Valley Forge Middle School. Come on out today or tomorrow to support the girls hoopsters.

    ONE: Good morning T/E! Today is FRIDAY, JANUARY 12TH, 2018 and it is NATIONAL MARZIPAN DAY. It is also day ONE of the schedule. Today’s lunch includes INDIVIDUAL PIZZA.

     

    TWO: TEMS students who plan to participate in the CCIU Science Research Competition need to stop by room 203 to check in with Dr. Connelly by the end of TODAY.

     

    ONE: The scripts for all 5th & 6th grade drama members will be ready for pick-up TODAY. Go to Senora Way’s room, Room 5, near the cafeteria immediately after school to get a copy.

    TWO: Thirty students competed in the TEMS schoolwide Geography Bee on Thursday and the top ten students were as follows: Satvik A., Dermott B., Eammon D., Will H., Arun I., Yash I., Ben K., AJ R., Shrey S., and the champion was Conan C.  Great job to all who participated.

     

    ONE:  Congratulations to the grade-level winners of this year’s spelling bee. They are:

    8th – Sophia P. and Charity X.

    TWO: Our Word of the Week is PESSIMIST. A noun meaning a person who anticipates the worst or is disposed to be gloomy. For example: When the student walked into the room and said he was going to fail the test, Mr. Parker responded with, “Don’t be such a pessimist!”

    This Monday is the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of service.  Our school will be involved in our annual casserole making service project.  If you are interested in making a casserole, pick up a baking pan with a recipe sheet on your way out of school today.  Make and freeze your casserole this weekend.  Bring it to school with you on Tuesday and drop it off on your way in.  It is that easy!  Please do not pick up a pan unless you truly plan on making a casserole.

    ONE: Good morning T/E! Today is FRIDAY, DECEMBER 22nd, 2017 and it is FESTIVUS EVE. It is also day SIX of the schedule. Today’s lunch includes BUFFALO CHICKEN PIZZA.

     

    TWO: Our own Mr. Kirkby, Conestoga swimming coach, has lead the Conestoga High School Lady Pioneers for 29 years and to 22 Central League Championship Titles, multiple District and State appearances and, yesterday after a win against Radnor HS, he earned his 300th win. Please congratulate Mr. Kirkby when you see him today on this great achievement!

     

    ONE: Geography Bee sign-ups end TODAY. If you are interested in participating, please see Mr. Krimsky in room 106 during activity period.
