    Dear Parents,

Our class will be participating in the SCHOLASTIC BOOK CLUB this year.  Membership in this club is free and entitles our students to great discounts on books, videos, stickers and much more.  Please know that you are under NO OBLIGATION to buy anything from this book club.  Each month, your child will receive an order form(s) from Scholastic that will list the items offered that particular month.  As students place orders, the teacher receives free points which can be turned in to Scholastic for free items for the classroom.  The books are fun for the children and often a great gift idea!  Please read the following information carefully to ensure that you receive what you have ordered.

    Sending Forms to School –

    1.      Fill out the form with the books you’d like to order and your child’s name.

    2.      Pay for books by writing a CHECK (NO CASH PLEASE!!!) made out to Scholastic Book Clubs.

    3.      Please return your check and order form by the date listed on the form.

    Online Ordering –

    1.      Sign up at www.scholastic.com/bookclubs.  On the parent page, click the “Don’t have a User Name and Password” link.  Then register for your own username and password.  When prompted, enter the following one-time Class Activation Code:  H7348.  This code ensures that your order is sent to me.

    2.      Select the books you’d like to order from over 500 titles available online…and take advantage of online-only specials and discounts.

    3.      Send your order to me online by the due date.

Placing your online credit card order is completely safe and secure.  Ordering online is the most convenient way to use Scholastic Book Clubs.  You can order anytime, right up until the online order due date.

Books take 2 to 3 weeks to arrive and will be distributed to the children to bring home.  Reading aloud to your child is a great way to reinforce the language skills we are teaching in school.  There are also some beginning readers available that your child may be able to read on his/her own.  ENJOY!!!
