Redistricting

As TESD prepares for the opening of Bear Hill Elementary School in August 2027, the District is undertaking the important process of redrawing elementary school attendance boundaries. This work is necessary to distribute enrollment and resources across all District schools. The School Board has approved the redistricting parameters developed by the Ad Hoc Redistricting Committee, marking the completion of that Committee’s work and the transition to the next phase of the redistricting process.
The next phase of redistricting will be led by a Redistricting Steering Committee, which will be responsible for developing a proposed redistricting plan consistent with the School Board‑approved parameters. The Redistricting Steering Committee’s recommendations will be presented to the School Board for review and discussion at public meetings.
We strongly encourage community members to stay informed and engaged as this work continues, as community input will play an important role in shaping a redistricting plan that supports students, families, and the broader TESD community.
