Continuing Support for TESD Families & Summer Food Form
June 19, 2020
Dear T/E Families,
As summer has started, we recognize the reality that many in our community are still in need of support due to the economic hardship resulting from COVID-19. The T/E School District is working in conjunction with the Chester County Food Bank, FLITE, and T&E Care to offer assistance to our families. Through these partnerships, we plan to provide grocery products to families in place of the boxed meals from the T/E Food Services Department that were available during the school year.
If you are in need of food this summer, please respond to this message by clicking here for our Summer Food form. This letter and the Summer Food form are also available on the T/E School District website, www.tesd.net, under In the News on the home page. You can indicate whether you are able to come to Valley Forge Middle School to pick up food each week or every other week. If you are unable to pick up the food at Valley Forge Middle School, we will arrange delivery by community volunteers.
We are providing additional information from FLITE, outlining the community supports they are providing, and T&E Care, including programs they have in place to help families in need in our community. Also, information from the Chester County Food Bank, which shares additional food resources in our area, is available on the TESD website.
If you are interested in continuing to support families in our community over the summer with gift card donations, please contact Dr. Oscar Torres at TorresO@tesd.net or Jeanne Braun at BraunJ@tesd.net. The T/E School District is grateful to the many families and organizations in our community who have come together to support each other.
We wish all of you a healthy and happy summer.
