Virtual Instruction to Continue on Emergency Closing Days

During the 2020-2021 school year, the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) has determined that TESD may follow its regular virtual instruction schedule on days when school buildings must be closed due to circumstances such as hazardous weather conditions or other emergency situations. Students will attend school virtually on emergency closing days and they will follow their regular schedules for the current cycle day.  The TESD school community will be notified of a weather-related building closure through the District’s mass notification system, TE All-Call, as well as the District website. By continuing instruction virtually on emergency closing days, TESD will not be required to make up days missed due to inclement weather.

* In the event of widespread power outages where remote learning is unable to take place, there is a possibility that an emergency closing day would still need to be made up.
