T/E School Board Adopts 2022-2023 Budget Resolution

At its meeting on January 24, 2022, the Tredyffrin/Easttown Board of School Directors adopted a resolution limiting any increase in property taxes for the 2022-2023 fiscal year to at or below the Act 1 index of 3.4%. As a result, the Board will not consider any referendum exceptions to the Act 1 index and will follow a timeline that has the final adoption of the 2022-2023 budget in June. The 2022-2023 budget presented on January 24, 2022, shows a $6M budgeted operational deficit that the Board and administration will work to close through a combination of increases in the property tax rate, expenditures reductions or the use of existing reserves.

The next opportunity for discussion of the 2022-2023 budget will be at the upcoming February 7, 2022, Finance Committee meeting at 7:00 pm at the Tredyffrin/Easttown Administration Offices.  The meeting will be recorded and will be available on the TESD website. Additional budget development information is available in the budget section of the District website at

The Board will continue to deliberate the budget and property tax rate increase until final adoption in June.
