Dear TESD Families,

I am excited to share that last night the Tredyffrin/Easttown Board of School Directors approved administrative changes that will take effect on July 1, 2023.

• Current New Eagle Elementary School Principal Dr. Patrick Gately will become Curriculum and Staff Development Supervisor.
• The role of New Eagle Elementary School Principal will be filled by Dr. Andrew Phillips, current T/E Middle School Principal.
• Current Valley Forge Middle School Assistant Principal Dr. Anthony DiLella will become T/E Middle School Principal.
• Mr. Horace Rooney, current Curriculum and Staff Development Supervisor, will become Valley Forge Middle School Assistant Principal.
• Dr. Mike Szymendera, current Director of Technology, will receive additional responsibilities and will assume the new title of Director of Educational Program.

We will provide opportunities this spring at New Eagle Elementary, T/E Middle and Valley Forge Middle Schools for families and students to meet their school’s new administrator. Please watch for additional communication from your school regarding transition plans and opportunities to interact with your school’s administration.

These staffing changes will support the professional goals of each of these administrators, and their talents and skills are well-suited to their new roles. I commend our staff for their accomplishments in their present positions and am confident they will continue to succeed in their new positions.
