Note From The Nurse- When to Keep Your Child Home

There may be times when you are unsure if it's necessary to keep your child home from school. Please refer to the list below and keep your child home when these symptoms are present:

  • Fever (100 degrees Fahrenheit or above)
  • Chills
  • Excessive nose drainage
  • Red or draining eyes
  • Rash
  • Abdominal pain
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Sore throat
  • Excessive coughing

A child should remain at home at least 24 hours with NO fever, diarrhea, or vomiting after an illness. Sick children cannot retain what is being taught and also expose other children (and staff) to their illnesses.

Please notify the school that your child will be absent by sending an email to stating the dates and reason for absence.
