Good morning, T/E! Today is Tuesday, March 29, 2022 and it is NATIONAL VIETNAM WAR VETERANS DAY. It is also day TWO of the schedule. Today’s lunch menu includes BREADED CHICKEN NUGGETS WITH DIPPING SAUCE.

Culture Museum Day will take place on Friday, April 29th. All students are invited to participate in this cultural event. If you are interested in creating a cultural display, a dance, or leading a world game, please contact the following teachers by April 20th. Mrs. Elshakhs in Room 120A, if you are interested in Cultural Displays. Dr. Strohmetz in Room 203, if you are interested in TEM World of Dance. Mr. Hardy in Room 138, if you are interested in World Games.

"And now for a multicultural minute on Women's History Month from the Multicultural Club..."

The 7th/8th-grade SOAR meeting will be in the Tech Ed classroom 122A TODAY during fourth and fifth periods. Students attending should bring their lunch. Please contact Mr. Boukalik, Dr. Phillips, or Mr. Hardy if you have any questions or concerns.

Shrihan, a 7th grade student, is collecting broken, unused crayons that usually get tossed in trash. He has teamed up with a nonprofit organization where these crayons will be recycled, and then distributed to various Children's hospitals across the USA. Please help him in this endeavor by contributing crayons you no longer use in the collection boxes labeled "My Crayons initiative" that are placed at the front and back entrance of the school. The collection bins will be available until the end of April.

Beginning Monday, April 4, we will supervise basketball in the small gym between 7:50 and 8:20 AM.  This “Open Gym” will be available to 5th and 6th graders on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 7th and 8th graders on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Anyone interested in participating must enter the school via the front entrance.  Students will not be permitted to walk from the back of the school to the small gym before school.  Any instances of misbehavior will be instantly ineligible to participate in “open gym.”

It is time for the CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND in the TEMS Library Book Madness. Check the library Schoology group for a link to vote for which book will be named the 2022 CHAMPION. Voting for this round ends Wednesday afternoon. Also, be sure to stop by the library to check out the bracket!

Library books are due this Friday. Please bring your books to the library to return or renew them by this Friday.
