• Welcome to the Devon Elementary website and to our school community! Devon is a very special place because of the people….little people and big people…who come here each day of the school year.
     
    The "Welcome to Devon" mural you see on this page is one example of our children, teachers and parents working together. Inspired by a child's eye view of the curriculum, and guided by the Mural Arts Program of Philadelphia, we painted this mural together during "Arts Express Week" on the wall of our lobby.
     
    Devon’s students come from as near as Fairfield Road and as far away as India and Albania. They range in age, interests, and gifts. As a staff we welcome the different abilities and interests of our children. Our goal is to help children progress and grow…beginning from their individual starting points.
     
    Our teachers work together using a wealth of district materials and supports. Additionally, we are fortunate to work in partnership with parents and community members who volunteer in our school each day. They provide many volunteer hours in support of classroom activities, field trips and cultural arts programs.
     
    Each day is an exciting one in our school. We welcome your involvement, your questions, and your thoughts.
