Message from the Principal
Welcome to Valley Forge Elementary School, home to approximately 450 enthusiastic students! Valley Forge is one of five elementary schools in the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District where our mission is, “To inspire a passion for learning, personal integrity, the pursuit of excellence and social responsibility for each student.”
Our elementary program provides experiences that will develop academic excellence and promote a positive understanding of one’s self and others. Within a developmentally appropriate program and in partnership with the home, we seek to provide a balanced experience of basic skills, intellectual challenge, and active learning which will support continuous student growth and cultivate learning habits for independent, lifelong learning. In addition, it is our goal to promote healthy mental, physical, social and emotional growth for all of our students in a caring and nurturing environment.
As you will observe from our website and a visit to our school, Valley Forge Elementary School is a lively and spirited place for learning and growing. We understand that children develop at different rates and have different needs. As such, the T/E instructional program meets the needs of all students by providing a rich curriculum with several support programs to challenge and assist each student appropriately.
Valley Forge has a strong tradition of active parent involvement. One way of participating in your child’s education is through the wonderful Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO). Our PTO works collaboratively with school personnel to support teachers’ efforts and enrich the educational experience for our students through activities such as cultural arts programs, fundraisers, community partnerships, school clubs and service projects.
Valley Forge Elementary is a truly remarkable school because of our dedicated staff, our supportive parents and community, and most of all, our talented, enthusiastic students. It is my pleasure to serve as principal of this school and to work collaboratively to support each other and each child’s journey.
Sincerely,
Rebecca Wills
Principal
