Welcome to the VFMS Music department webpage. We are very proud to offer all students general music class as well as instrumental and choral opportunities. Note: Our performance groups run on a 5-day schedule.

SPECIFIC INFORMATION ABOUT THE CURRENT YEAR'S ENSEMBLES CAN BE FOUND IN SCHOOLOGY.

The following is a list of ensembles and instruments for students who currently play in Band or Orchestra. 

Students who wish to start an instrument should go to Beginning Band

 Instrumental Ensembles

• 5/6 Orchestra - Violin, Viola, Cello & Bass
• 7/8 Orchestra - Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Horn, Tuba, Percussion
• 5th Grade Band - Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Clarinet, Saxophones, Trumpet, Trombone, Horn, Tuba, Percussion
• 6th Grade Band - Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Clarinet, Saxophones, Trumpet, Trombone, Horn, Tuba, Percussion
• 7/8 Band - Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Clarinet, Saxophones, Trumpet, Trombone, Horn, Tuba, Percussion

Extra Curricular Instrumental Ensemble (Audition required, meets after school)

• 5/6 Jazz Band - Concert Band Instruments + Guitar, Piano, Bass Guitar, Drum Set
• 7/8 Jazz Ensemble - Concert Band Instruments + Guitar, Piano, Bass Guitar, Drum Set

The following is a list of choral ensembles which are open to anyone who would like to participate.

• Valley Forge Singers (Auditioned 7/8 choral group)
