Band Instruments

·      Flute:  cleaning rod and swab/handkerchief

·      Clarinet: packet of size 2 reeds (6)*, cleaning swab, cork grease

·      Saxophone:  packet of size 2 reeds (6)* cleaning swab, cork grease, neck strap

·      Oboe:  2 double reeds (soft)*, cleaning swab, cork grease

·      Trumpet, Baritone, and French Horn:  valve oil

·      Trombone:  slide cream

·      Percussion:  purchase or rent a Bell Kit (bells, mallets, snare pad, 2B sticks)

·      Lesson book: Standard of Excellence, book 1, by Bruce Pearson, KJOS.

·      *Reeds are delicate pieces of wood that will break easily and often, and do not last forever.  You will need to purchase more as they are used throughout the school year.
