    Dear T/E Staff and Families,

As you might be aware from the news, a doctor who works at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s King of Prussia outpatient facility tested positive for the coronavirus or COVID-19. We spoke with the Chester County Health Department (CCHD) and confirmed they reached out to those who came into contact with the affected doctor. If individuals were not exposed, they were not contacted by the Health Department. The Health Department informed us that no District students or staff members were in contact with this doctor. As of 10:15 pm this evening, the CCHD confirmed there are no COVID-19 cases in Chester County. As such, there is currently no recommendation by any health authority to close TESD schools. Therefore, all TESD schools will be open on Tuesday, March 10, 2020. We will continue to provide updates as needed.

    Sincerely,

    Chris Groppe, Ed.D.
