There are several situations that would require a note or phone call from you to us:

    • A change in your transportation plans (phone call or note)
    • A change in the person picking up your child (requires a note)
    • Student absence (phone call)
    • Late arrival or early pick up (phone call)

If you are providing your own transportation, please park in the designated parking areas and bring your child in through the front door of the school. Classroom teachers and instructional aides will greet and dismiss the students from the main lobby and bus circle of the school.

Related services (such as social skills, OT, PT, speech, orientation/mobility) identified in your child’s IEP will be delivered at the camp, unless otherwise determined by the IEP team.

ESY 2021 Health & Safety Protocol

As with all Covid related information, this information is subject to change in the event that new guidance from public health authorities or the Pennsylvania Department of Education is presented.

Symptom screening: By allowing their child to attend in-person programs or be on school premises, families are affirming their child is not ill and does not have any COVID -19 symptoms. In a change from school year practice, we will not have nurses or other staff conduct checks of each student before allowing entry.  Families will not have to complete a symptom screener before their child arrives at school.

Masking: All summer programs conducted in a face-to-face environment will be mask-optional.

Contact tracing & quarantine: We will continue to abide by all county and state guidelines regarding quarantine and contact tracing when presented with a Covid-19 case. This will be the role of the school nurse, building administrator, and Director of Student Services.

Social distancing:Currently, all indoor capacity restrictions related to COVID-19 have been lifted and we have not received any indication from local health authorities that social distancing will remain a requirement or recommendation.

Transportation: A seating chart will still need to be maintained for contact tracing purposes.  Students are not required to socially distance on the bus.

Hand hygiene: Please continue to reinforce proper hand hygiene with your student.
